	Likely career prospects
	This course provides the basics of business management. It will give you an opportunity to look at the various sectors within business and aim to work or get promoted to one of your choice. There is also the option of taking a higher level course such as a degree in business management either online or attendance at a UK University. ATHE employ a qualified careers officer (Dipoma in Careers Guidance) University of Wales who will help if necessary.

Qualification

The diploma programme is divided into 8 units. Four are mandatory and there is a choice of 4 from a number of units as optional units. The certificate is 3/3.The duration of the course depends on the time you have available and can vary from 6 months to a year or more.

Academies and Colleges can get approval to add their own units which need to be approved in advance.

		How you are assessed
		The International Diploma in Business Management is assessed by means of an assignment. The assignment can be organized by the centre tailored to the units that the student has chosen. The assignment should be approximately 3000/5000 words and be original. This is of course checked.

Cost
Once we have received your fee payable to ATHE we will provide you with the study material, name of a tutor who will organise with you a study programme. The fee for the course is £280 You have two payment options available: Full Payment Now: a single payment of £280.00 by cheque, postal order or online Monthly Payments: Take advantage of our Monthly Payment Plan. Make a deposit of £75.00 and 5 monthly installments of £45.00 by standing order.
All course fees include access to your Tutor via telephone or email as well as access to the online resource bank covering ALL the course, textbooks and study guides. If you are taking this course at an accredited centre by attendance they will charge their own fees to cover teaching and facilities.

What next: You will receive your course online with the option of hard copies for an additional fee. The course text runs into nearly 1000 pages. You can of course print it out yourself in your own time. The advantage of online is that the course is continually updated. As soon as you have received your course and username/password you can start your online studies. There are no time limits to complete the course. You will be able to look at typical questions so that you can have an idea of the level required. You will be given the email and address of a personal tutor who will be available during the day and at times during the evening to talk to you if necessary. At the end of each unit you will complete a multi choice set of questions as well as some written questions. You will then email them directly to your tutor who will mark and grade them. They will be returned to you. If you want to improve your work, the tests can be re submitted. After the satisfactory completion of all 6/8 units you will receive a Diploma. You will then be able to show this to employers or colleges as proof of knowledge. As a Level 4 course you can also apply for a University place.		6
		Ways to take the course
		You can attend one of our centres available in many countries. You will then get the personal attention and be able to meet other students. However, that is not always possible and an excellent alternative will be to take the course directly with ATHE or one of our approved centres using online resource. Some of the advantages of this type of learning is - It is flexible and allows you to select the best time to study to suit your own circumstances. It also provides you the flexibility to remain in full-time employment. You can continue to earn while you learn. It is easy to combine home and work life with distance learning? You can study when and where it suits you best and you do not need to attend timetabled lectures or tutorials. You can also if need be take a study break or defer your studies for a short while. As a distance learning student, you will be registered as a student of the Association of Tourism and Hospitality Executives. On completion of the course you can become a full member.
